Rutland Local Policing Unit have advised that there have been a number of incidents in recent weeks involving potentially bogus callers.
The caller has told the homeowner that they are from "Anglian Home Improvements" and offered work on windows, conservatories or drive block-paving . They did not have any I.D and gave a false telephone number on one occasion. There have been two incidents in Glaston and one in Barrowden.
Although no crime has been committed, the police would like to hear from you if you have had a similar experience. Please call 01162 222 222 IMMEDIATELY and press button 1 to report an incident.
Rutland County Council have the extended the consultation period on the Core Strategy Proposd Submission Document to 4.45pm on Thursday 18 November 2010.

Rutland County Council have recently issued an Order to close a section of Hooby Lane from where it joins Thistleton Road to its junction with New Road.
This will come into effect from 1 November 2010 and the closures will take place on various dates over the next 18 months to allow for convoys of vehicles to access the A1 safely.
Signs will be erected at each end of the affected road and the diversion will be via the Thistleton Road, B668 and Hooby Lane
